Recorders
Recorder Positions:
1st position:
Recorder sits on the floor and we do not touch it.
2nd position:
Recorder sits on your chin with the left hand on top and right holding the foot.
3rd position:
Recorder is in your mouth while you breathe through your nose.
Good Recorder Playing Requires:
- Sitting up straight with both feet on the floor.
- Blowing warm, soft, slow air through the recorder.
- Our tongues saying the word "Too" while we play.
How we learn a Song:
- Skim the Music,
- Think the Rhythms,
- Clap the Rhythms,
- Clap the Rhythms while singing the note's names,
- Sing the note's names while fingering the recorders,
- Perform the song on the Recorders,
